I was just planning to rant and then I wrote a tome

Y'know, just because you're sure you can beat the person walking in the crosswalk doesn't mean you, a driver, aren't supposed to stop! And brilliant doing it right in front of the police station (not that there were any cops actually around).

In happier news I watched Across the Universe today and it was brilliant. I must have the soundtrack.

My day was going easily along until eight evictions dropped in my lap (or fax, as the case may be).

It's weirdly cool for August. I mean, 82 degrees, but not sweating weather! If I wasn't deathly allergic right now I might actually spend some time outside.

But, probably not.

Tonight the gals are coming over so I must race home and finish cleaning. Dad gave me wine and then I couldn't find my corkscrew which, of course, I moved to the liquor cabinet during the great clean of June. Keep your fingers crossed I don't break the cork. I suck at opening wine bottles, but the Shiraz has to breathe. I'm guessing this was a gift from someone as dad doesn't drink Shiraz. He also gave me a white zin, which also has to be a gift because he wouldn't be caught dead drinking a zin or even buying one. The man knows his wine but is such a snob. *g*

Also, the US continues to get screwed in gymnastics. I love Bela. But, hey, discus lady!

I'm enjoying Primeval. Just my cuppa tea. I'm so not happy they're pushing Robin Hood Season 3 back to January because I was looking forward to actually watching it while in London. I'm going to load a whole bunch of tv shows onto my laptop and just watch that, probably. I have a whole bunch of stuff I've never watched, like Dexter, and Robin of Sherwood and those eight Xfiles.

So, why am I watching old Buffy eps instead? Hell, I dug out season one and watched Angel! (man, DB could NOT act, but he was so sexy when he was younger and thinner--not that he's not sexy now since he's slimmed down again for Bones, but I like my men thin, which is probably why I'll take Spike over anyone...plus those cheekbones...where was I?) Oh, right, they were all so young! I also watched Lie to Me for the Angel/Dru scene and the Spike/Dru scenes, and damn I remember why I loved second season Dru so much.

Obviously I'm in the mood due to my writing. I haven't written anything else--not even worked on any WIPs--except for TEAOW&S for nearly two months and I can't figure out if I'm really into the fandom again or just really into my own series and my own takes on the characters. I'm guessing the latter, but who knows.

Okay, need to work.
