TV reviews

Okay, didn't go storm off in pissiness, but will get back to the JD Robb book in a bit and I need to do laundry.

I finally watched the Project Runway finale, after being spoiled on the winner by tvguide.com

Christian is brilliant, yes, and his clothes are that high fashion that no one can actually wear, so I guess that's why he won. Me, I put him in third because I like clothes that can actually be worn. I really didn't love any of his outfits. I LOVED the last two evening dresses by Rami--he knows evening dresses and I'm sure he can make a good living designing them. The judges complained about his colors but at least he used color. I loved almost everything Jillian did, though would have liked a bit more color. Her jackets and coats have consistently blown me away--that's the style I love as I actually develop a waist.

Anyway, good season overall. Now onto the next Top Chef.

Yes, I'm watching this again. I've never actually watched an entire season, but the bitchiness of the 20somethings is too amusing. I don't understand the Veteran girls, though. Coral and Katie knew the guys were throwing challenges and yet did nothing to convince their fellow girls. I'm sorry, I'm a bitch, I would have so thrown the guys' challenges in retalliation. Whilethe Rookie squad is just completely pathetic I wouldn't be surprised if they win the whole thing with their tiny numbers. All in all, amusing.

I kept getting distracted by the fact that neither Hawkman nor Green Lantern have intrinsic powers so what the hell were being stolen by the alien machines?! At least Hal's ring's power could theoretically be stolen but Hawkman (Katar, I believe, not Carter) flies using artificial wings created by an alien metal. Unless DC toon has totally changed his character.

Still, cute, though I've never understood why Dick and Babs have to look like they're nine years old (Babs being nine but having boobs). At least in BtAS they're full grown characters. Dick here reminds me of Tim in some of the more poorly drawn comics where he's like 4'9" yet seventeen years old. Proportion problems annoy me.

Or maybe I'm just annoyed in general.

I was surprised it didn't cliff hang pre-Shephard returning to the past. I prefer Dr. Keller with Ronan, actually, but I can see her hooking up wtih McKay. Other than that mostly I was all for the SG1 dvd coming out which led to thoughts/dreams/drooling about the one with Jack coming out this summer, because while I enjoy SGA and I enjoyed SG1 for the last two seasons, I'm really there for Jack.

And Sam.

And Jack/Sam, because it's so happening.

I continue to enjoy LOST while trying not to think too hard about it because that leads to brain freezing headaches. Eli Stone also continues to make me happy. Torchwood, of course, rocks (I'm watching it naughtily so I'm two eps up on the Americans) and I've already given my opinion of New Amsterdam. I really need to watch the BSG movie I've had recorded since November before the new season begins next month, as well as catch up on Medium and watch the second season of Life on Mars, but it's March Madness and that comes first.

And there are more Batman dvds coming, too.

I watch way too much tv.
