well, this has never happened

Of my dozen or so brackets, some guesses, some doing some research, some celebrity picks, I have one perfect bracket after day one. :) And it was one of my three "guesses"! I picked Harvard for some unknown reason! Maybe from over twenty years of watching the tournie and knowing how hard the Ivy teams can play (I still remember Princeton nearly knocking off #1 Georgetown in 1990 or 1991).

On that perfect bracket, I don't have any upsets today, so we'll see how it goes. I've never had one go perfect more than half the first day.

Sad that Oklahoma State lost. Sad that VCU stomped all over their first round match up because we could see them in the third round and I fear them. Shocked that Gonzaga nearly lost last night. Happy that Missouri did.

I know most of the world wants a KU/NC matchup in the next round but I'd rather play Pitt.

Along with watching a ton of basketball, I read a bunch of comics. I'm up to issues 8 in DC and I've dumped Batwing, Deathstroke (sadly, it's just not right without Dick hanging around or Rose with one eye or just, y'know, any of it), and Green Arrow--I prefer Ollie much older. I still don't really like Batgirl. A few I think the reboot did well: Blue Beetle, Teen Titans, Superboy (though I loved the series before this one, I like all the twistiness here) and Batwoman. The other Bat books are readable. Oh, I also like Catwoman a lot though I miss her knowing that Bruce is Batman. Those also have some of the best art, which plays a role for me.

What little snow we got yesterday melted by afternoon. There's more to come this evening, maybe. On Saturday night we may get ten inches.

WHAT THE FUCK!?

A big Hell to the No.

I cannot face shoveling again. This is ridiculous.

For about an hour early yesterday afternoon there was this weird thumping from my roof, then the cable went out and Elektra slunk away from the back door. There was a dude up a pole. I still don't know that the thumping was, but maybe the cable was loose? It comes into the house right about where the noise was occurring. Luckily the cable was only off for a half hour or so.

KSU plays this afternoon but then all three other Big 12 teams, including KU, play at approximately the same time. Naturally.

Well, about to start!

comic book blather, march madness, stupid weather
