so far behind
Boss did NOT go away this afternoon. Drinking buddy had, y'know, life stuff.
Did I write at all during the morning when boss didn't get there until nearly noon? Yeah, one paragraph.
*face palm*
That said, I ended up with quite a bit of work to do, got to court in a rain lull, and prepped the payment letters which I'm doing tomorrow, a day early, so I can do the invoices on Friday, giving us one more day of billing. We usually bill around the 25th and the 21st is really early.
So, I came home and started writing and I'm around a thousand words and I think about half way done with it and it doesn't suck that much, hopefully. Also I came home from choir practice to find a new comment on my TW fic that made me think I can write new fandoms. :)
Apparently last week when I didn't go to choir practice we got a new tenor (thank GOD as my mom just has no power and there was only one other one) and a new soprano.
Went to choir in a heavy rain and it really poured, thundered and lightninged for a while, but it had stopped by the time we were done. Now it looks like it may light snow/snow shower from 4:00-10:00 in the morning with high winds.:P
Found a youtube of the exact version of O Come O Come Emmanuel I'm singing and so practiced that before practicing it once with pianist. Except for not having much lung power due to the cold, I nailed it and she played right with me. It's a great thing to find an accompanist that can play to your singing.
I'm drinking tea in the hopes of getting well soon.
Okay, gotta finish the fic. I do not want to attempt to load it tomorrow when the archive may be slammed. Then watch the rest of Leverage which I started during dinner. TV Guide and wikipedia say that next Tuesday's Leverage is the season finale (so is Rizzoli and Isles) but my DVR shows a repeat (which it doesn't for R&I). It also took away my setting for Dr. Who for no apparent reason as well as saying it wasn't going to record Family Guy and American Dad which are new this Sunday and programmed in as series recordings, and I wondered what the hell happened to Haven this Friday and wiki now shows the season wrapping mid January. Freaking shows, stop that.
Also I read about half a really good TW fic this morning and need to find it and finish it.
No packages waiting for me except my own comic books. I just know everything is going to arrive on Christmas Eve. |:( I want to finish wrapping and placing by Friday.
Well, I can't be too annoyed with brother (more annoyed with sister-in-law because she's usually on top of this stuff and doesn't work) because he booked our Alaska cruise and we each have suite. I have a suite to myself. My nephew is technically with me to save money but he'll stay on the couch bed in his parents' suite. I could have done the same thing with my parents, but I have my own suite. And apparently it's in the aft and I have portholes on both sides of the room! Where my brother learned not to travel cheap is beyond me.
Also my parents are planning their final trip to England/Scotland for June 2014 and asked if I wanted to come with and, of course I'll go to London but I have no desire to travel to the hinterlands of Scotland even though there is now internet in the cottage they rent, but then mom said they were planning to go from there for three or so days to the Orkneys and I have always wanted to go there and I'd never go by myself because I can't drive over there, so I'll probably stay a few extra days in London while they visit friends in Edinburgh and go to the cottage and then I'll fly up to Inverness, do the Orkneys and fly back to London to head home. We'll get the same flat on Cambridge Circus we've stayed in the last two times. Perfect location.
