yay, go me
Fic done and sent off with ninety minutes to go. It's a bit different for me but I like it. Not really what I'd planned but the muse is a fickle bitch.
Lemon yogurt bread baked and cooling. Dishes washed. Stomach ooky. *sigh* I felt hungry about a half hour ago and had another piece of the sugarless candy--a chocolate mint that had hints of Frangos--but now my stomach is unsettled. I'm beginning to think this is some combo of the diabetes meds and the gallbladder surgery because surely I'd have adapted to the meds by now.
You know, I'm not really going to complain. I still eat three healthy meals a day and if I'm usually not hungry that's a good thing. The mild queasiness doesn't stop me from doing anything except eat and it never keeps me from eating completely. I just don't eat much. Again, this is not a bad thing.
I continue to get lovely comments on the TW fic. More than I've gotten on anything I've written in years except for last week's Buffy/Spike fic. This makes me feel all glowy because not only do people like it but they're taking the time to read the massive tome! I know, I know, I always say that I don't need feedback, it's just a plus, but it does make you feel damn good. Between this one and the Buffy/Spike fic, it's turning out to be a good pre-Christmas. :) Makes me want to write more, too. Like my darn Yuletide fic and that Derek/Stiles that just won't go away.
The problem is that I want to write it in two different ways. The basic premise is the same--Peter remains the Alpha and Stiles just keeps hanging around the Pack and Derek, which is dangerous, because Peter wants him and also enjoys tormenting his nephew. Derek wants Stiles but Stiles is underage and Derek's not sure his feelings are returned. Peter finally gives his second an ultimatum. Either he claim Stiles as his mate, or Peter will, and Stiles is still scared of Peter, so of course Stiles prefers Derek over the Alpha.
Then there are two options. The original was that Stiles does want Derek but he doesn't want him like this, when neither of them have a real choice, and the sex is sad and empty and Stiles doesn't enjoy it and neither really does Derek though at least he comes. Then I got the idea, what if Stiles doesn't want Derek because he's not gay, not attracted to men? But the choice between Peter and Derek is still a no-brainer, only Stiles is really, really angry at the world, the sex sucks, he never does get aroused, etc. etc.
Maybe I'll just write both...
But right now, Castle holiday ep.
