Yuletide is done!
Well, first draft, but I rarely change much. It's just over 2000 words and without a bit of dialogue, my usual strong point. I dunno. I like it. It's a weird fandom I'd never have thought to write in but I threw it out there as an option and got it. :)
I didn't write it last night--didn't get home until after 10:30 and was tired--so I got up at 6:00 and wrote for about 50 minutes and just now finished it at work. I'll go edit it in a bit and then hopefully get it uploaded.
Now I can pick up any pinch hits without guilt.
Oh, and naturally mine is on the pinch hit list which is up to the 180s. I guess that's not bad for a couple thousand sign ups, though I expect there will be a deluge come tonight. At least mine got snatched up. I've heard that's a good thing because someone is actually choosing to write for you.
I also got a treat at btvs_santa! First year I never got anything. I just discovered I did get something last year after giving up. This year I get something before it's required! Yay!
Also found out that fandom_stocking actually lets you stuff until January 6, so plenty of time to write those stocking stuffers. I figured it was the 24th.
Dinner last night was yummy. Mom's homemade peppermint icecream is so much better than store bought because store bought tends to be overly minty. Hers is very mild. Beef was overcooked for her but perfect for me. Stilton was, of course, heavenly. The company was good, and I brought home most of the presents mom had wrapped. Brother's box arrived just as I got home from work so now I have more wrapping and bowing and strewing around the tree tonight before the KU game at 10:00.
