another lazy weekend

Good lazy weekend. Wrote absolutely nothing *sigh* but read a lot. Watched a lot of interesting upsets in college football. The Big 12 is all over the place this year. Ranked teams losing to unranked at home one week and then beating ranked teams on the road the next, unranked going into ranked teams homes and crushing them. The less said about KU the better. The first basketball game (not counting exhibitions) is November 12.

Church was good. Our minister got up at 2:30 a.m. and wrote her sermon. I laughingly told her that's what I did in college for papers. *g* We sang a Russian peace song, part of it in Russian, which was well received. On new songs I get to go back to alto because we have an actual male tenor (who can sing higher than I can in a gorgeous falsetto) which makes me happy.

The Chiefs were impressive in their win against Jacksonville. There's a lot of potential there and Cassel was at his best so far this season. I need to reinstate my Chiefs icon.

We went to see "Red". If you like shoot 'em up, action/adventure, spy capers that are over the top and funny as hell, go see it! We all loved it. And that cast is just super fantastic, plus Karl Urban has a big role. It might be his break-out role to stardom.

Watched TAR--impressed with the vegetarian eating the meat with her 'million dollar' bites. Over the years too many vegetarians have balked and cost their teams. If you're going to win, you have to do stuff you don't like. I always say that you shouldn't go on the show if you're a strict vegetarian, you can't drive stick, and you're afraid of heights. Of course, if they didn't put people on the show who were vegetarians, unable to drive stick, or were afraid of heights, it would probably be boring. *g* Anyway, I like the doctors and the shopping network hosts, plus the dad and son over the last couple eps when son started being more conciliatory to his dad and helping him and encouraging him to do challenges that were less physically tasking. I really don't like any of the male/female pairings and while I like the dad, the perky daughter drives me nuts.

I desperately need to do laundry tonight. I finally washed dishes last night as pretty much every skillet was dirty (all of which have to be hand washed).

There's a chill in my office, but not enough to warrant turning on the heat. I also wore a short sleeve tshirt because it's supposed to be in the upper seventies by afternoon.

This is heading towards dull...
