Now that I’ve finished with Otakon pictures and stuff, I guess I’ll do a post about future cons and costume ideas. I should be attending MangaNext in October and will just commute for it since it’s nearby and a smaller con. Costume-wise, that will mean simpler outfits that I can travel in or easily change into after I get there. I’ll definitely do ( Read more... )

Kaleido Star is fun. If we do both get KS costumes done, we'll have to try to take pictures together! ^_^

Ah, I've kind of been under a rock with trying to finish costume stuff for Otakon, then actually going to Otakon, and catching up with stuff afterwards. I doubt I'll be able to go on such short notice; I think my family wanted to go out together tomorrow. ^_^;; Maybe, next time...

I like your costume ideas! Wow, Youko's white outfit is gorgeous. I'd love to see that one.

You're making me intrigued about Pet Shop of Horrors now. XD Perhaps I shall have to give it a try.

Did you post your cosplay of Lili's detective outfit? I can't remember. ^^;

Hmm... I probably should post some ramblings on Pet Shop of Horrors when I do my next post on books. It's mainly episodic but beginning in vol. 3, we start to get hints about the mysterious Count D's past and it's kind of a puzzle trying to figure out what he is exactly since he doesn't seem like an ordinary human. And what his motives are since he's involved in some rather shady dealings and the pets he sells sometimes turn on their owners (although the police can never prove anything). He reminds me a bit of the count in Gankutsuou. Oh, and he likes to flirt with Leon, the detective who's investigating him, but I think he does it mostly to get on Leon's nerves rather than seriously. XD;

Ah yes, I remember that costume now. ^^ I wasn't associating that as being her detective outfit, since she seemed to wear something more "uniform" looking in that promo that I see in the backs of my manga. XD

I love mysterious characters. ^^ Count D would probably be right up my alley.

Thanks. :-) The Ayame outfit is one of the most likely to be done on that list since I already have the wig. Others on the list might shift around depending on if I still like them as much when I have time to make them. XD;

hmm.... Sora's bootcovers kinna look more like purple socks of some kind with cute slippers... but thats just my opinion ^^

Thanks. :-) I've seen you around AnimeNext ever since I started going but I don't think we've really talked before. But hello and nice to meet you. ^_^

Yeah, I suppose that's kind of true about Sora's footwear. Slippers and socks would probably make more sense than real boots for acrobatics and swinging from trapezes. ^_^;
