Katsucon Photos
Katsucon photos went up at risingsun.net the other day so I guess I’ll make my photo post now since I have most pics other than a few my brother is still working on.
First, Saiunkoku with neoangelwink as Shuurei and athena-chan as Ryuuki.
I kind of feel like I should be wearing a Seiran costume since he’s usually the third person in trio pics with Shuurei and Ryuuki. ^_^;; (I do sort of want to make his Emperor costume from the manga splash page where he and Ryuuki switched clothes.)
Time for silliness! We didn’t actually take them in this order but I kind of strung the photos along into a little story. And now I’m half tempted to come up with a little drabble about Ryuuki and Shuurei trying to have tea and Ryuuren showing up to bug them. >_>;
Ryuuren arrives to save Soul Friend #1 from the Emperor…
Um, make that Ryuuren shows up to torture Shuurei and Ryuuki with terrible flute music.
Shuurei finally distracts Ryuuren from the flute by offering to make tea. (We didn’t brew any for the shoot but neoangelwink did bring the flowering tea I gave her for Christmas and her tea set as props. The tea actually does bloom into a flower like in the tea in the anime.)
Shuurei pours the tea…
…while Ryuuki gets a bit impatient and jealous.
Ryuuki finally gets his tea.
Tea for everyone
But it’s not long before Ryuuki puts his foot in his mouth again!
And before Ryuuren leaves to continue his travels, he has a proposal for Shuurei…
…to become his personal chef. XD

And a silly pic from lionboogy of Ryuuki and Ryuuren fighting over Shuurei. (Even if Ryuuren is my favorite Saiunkoku character, I would never want him to actually end up with Shuurei. He would drive the poor girl insane! >_>;;)
Finally have a nice pic of my 19th Century Count D costume with the phoenix. Yay! The fancy hotel was a great place for it and there’s one more pic I’m waiting for from my brother.
Ollie took this one of my bird.
And when I walked by viewpoints doing a How to Train Your Dragon photoshoot, I got pulled in for a cameo. XD Haven’t seen the movie and don’t know the other cosplayers in this but the dragon looked awesome.
Mab got a few photos of my Count D kimono but I’ll just post one.
A couple of new ones of Kyoya. I wish the gazebo/ballroom area hadn’t been closed off when I was wearing this. My brother ended up taking a lot of photos in the bar off the lobby and looking at the pics afterwards, sitting didn’t work well for the costume with the vest and coat bunching up. So, I’ll probably only post a couple of others later on.
