Thoughts and stuff

I feel as if I'm living between two realities right now; the sense that I am about to bid farewell to one chapter of my life and embark on the next leaves me feeling a bit out of it. I've been packing things away a little at a time (admittedly not as much as I should- Skyrim and my period have seen to that) but it still doesn't feel quite real yet. That will change this weekend.

National Penn sent me more information concerning my new hire orientation. The fact I'm starting prior to orientation reminds me of when I was hired at Summit all those years ago. The branch was so desperate to get me working they had someone give me a crash course within the branch itself. If I recall right, I started working in October or November, and my official training wasn't until after the new year. Quick learner? You bet. XD

The oppressive heat has kept me indoors the past two days. Tomorrow I must venture out. I want to stop by the branch, go to my dentist for copies of my records, and I wanted to buy a new outfit for Monday. I'm going to have to add to my wardrobe as time goes on. Been so long since I worked for a place that didn't provide a uniform. The bonus is I can wear my sweaters (and not just green!) in the winter again. Huzzah for the small things. :)

Alan's place doesn't have internet so my online presence will be sporadic next week. I'll try to keep everyone updated on all the news as best I can. Tumblr might have drawn me away from LJ with its pretty but I'll always come back. I still have friends who check my journal. :)
