More on my pathetic last post

Home, friday, Jesus the last couple of weeks have been intense. I realized I haven't written a single word about anything, during a time I would love to read about. Things have been, crazy, the job is intense, something interesting is 'happening' now and I've found myself with a possibility. I will post privately some other time as work is not what I want to talk about (and seriously who am I kidding, I can't talk about it either).

My kids are growing. They just blow my mind every day, Charlize says random words (ie. this, that, what-that, what-this, ketchup [seriously!], ball, caky[for casey] obviously Mama, Dada, Ky[Kyle] up, again, yuck, Mmmmmmm) and the rest escapes me for now. She communicates really well (minus the frustration part - and boy does she get ticked off) she makes herself understood clearly and should you not get her, holy cow she gives you a piece of her baby babble mind. A serious tongue lashing if you ever heard one! We try not to laugh as it only ticks her off way more.

She may not say as many words as Kyle did at that age, (I do have faulty memory though) but she's so physically advanced that I'm not worried, she's been walking almost a year now she's 17 months) she runs, dances (really well) she walks backwards, climbs stairs, goes down stairs, kicks balls almost as well as her brother (if I ever thought Kyle had my talent for soccer which is only emerging now with him) Charlize has it in her blood. It's "crazy amazing" to watch her go running after a ball on her own and kick it around the house, she's not even 2 and she dribbles it SO well! The throws also as well as Kyle! She rocks my world and is everything I ever imagined my daughter being (a real hard ass!) She's got attitude, she doesn't let anyone pick on her, she stands her ground and she keeps up with the older toddlers in almost every respect. She's got my essence, the 'no one f&*$s with me' attitude. It's awesome. Oh and she comes in the cutest little bundle of girl you've ever seen, striking blue eyes, dimples, curly blond hair and a killer smile. At the same age, Kyle and her are identical and there are pictures that even as their mother I have trouble differencing the two.

She's almost 23-24lbs now, but even if not that heavy, she wears size 24mth/2 everywhere, the pants that I just put away for Kyle about 4 months ago fit her now. Long legged lady! She's also a squirt, a trouble maker to the nth degree. For example I treated myself to a rare fast food take out tonight (oh I lost 7bls in 2 weeks btw) and while I had a picnic with my girl and shared a few french fries as I was taking a bite of my burger she leaned over and totally swipped a chug of my root beer before I even had a chance to drop the burger to stop her. I couldn't even say stop as the squirt caught me hands busy, mouth full and unable to interfere as she was sucking the straw in great delight that she out tricked her mom. Little squirt.

She's has so many funny moments, like serving herself breakfast, one morning as she was in the living room and I was upstairs dressing for work she went into the kitchen, took out a box of cereal, took it to the living room where the TV that she turned on to CBC kids was waiting, sat on her chair and ate breakfast on her own.

How about starting the potty training on her own, one day walks up to me points to her diaper, and runs to the bathroom where she starts taking off her pants and trying to hoist herself up on the toilet.

Her favorite books right now are the Sandra Boynton collection (Going to bed book, Hey Wake Up etc), she LOVES to sing anything, dance to everything and loves to colour.

I think though best of all is that she's my cuddle bug. She will sit and snuggle and have me play with her curls, chew her neck, tickle her thunder-thighs, kiss her feet (she wants me to suck her big toe and laughs her head off) she curls up and presses her baby body right into me and will stay there and 'hummmm' to herself. Oh she knows some body part, you know the ever important belly button, nose, hair, mouth, eyes, ears. Her first animal sound that she knows is that and owl goes 'hoo hoo', that a horse 'clip clops' and any other animal right now falls under a 'rawr' sound.

We had managed to ween her off her pacifier for a while, full days without, but once the flu last week hit the horse was right back where it belonged. A funny thing, she still insists that we give her the bottle, even though she can hold it, we take that snuggle time together in the morning and at night.

Alright this is way more time than I have left, kids are home, bed time awaits for the oldest 3 now.
