I have tons of things that my children have done that I want to keep note of because even though not funny while it happens there is much giggling after the fact:
4am wake ups from Kyle demanding "Mommy, take the moon out of the sky" Being 4am and tired, not finding it funny or cute while it happened, but post event thinking it was precious. He didn't want the full moon which pours into his room (around his blinds) to even get through a crack because "it touches my bed" (dear god this child asks the impossible), I managed to position his blinds to "remove the moon from the bed".
My daughter bit me, on the shoulder, in what I thought was a cuddle turned into a flying baby act as she took out a chunk from my soft shoulder neck spot.
Charlize burps on command. Well I should say she forces her burps and it's upon her own command, I just know there's an Auntie out there who is proud.
My son (not in his the most charming moment) while his siblings were over pulled down his pants and like a real bear, started rubbing his bottom against the wall. Now it sounds really awful, but in the moment I simply whirl around and see this and instead of my stern "cut that out, it's disgusting, that's not acceptable in this house etc..." I burst out laughing. Thankfully this slip (which any mother knows results in more bad behaviour) didn't go own and he stopped and never did it again.
More 3 year old moments from Kyle - right around thanksgiving he's pointing again out of anger, but his time points random fingers at his dad and involuntary flips Mike the bird. Now Kyle's been pointing and knows he shouldn't, but Mike totally flips out and tells him, that finger is NOT nice now I want you to stop all your pointing otherwise...etc. We are on our way to thanksgiving supper when Kyle takes me aside (I'm unaware of anything that happened) and whispers "Mommy, this finger isn't nice right" and flips me the bird again. I almost fell to the ground and wondered, oh my god, where in hell did he learn that, and realized that it was all by accident. So we ate turkey that night and prayed and prayed he wouldn't want to share his new discovery with his grandparents.
Onto more cute stories, Charlize had the best thanksgiving ever, she was in the best mood! We took tons of pictures and I'll put them up shortly and she'll melt everyone with her cuteness.
I'll be doing a Charlie update soon, she's almost 16 months, (24th) and is just the best thing ever. I love this age. I hardly recall it with Kyle and realized it's because I was already pregnant at that point. So I'm really enjoying this time with her.
As for Kyle, he's just so big, and continues to amaze his daycare lady with what he does, alphabets writes them with a stencil, and can name them all, he came home all proud after using scissors all by himself to make these great arts & crafts. He's really growing up my little boy. Daycare is going well, ever since he started 'work' he really gets one on one attention, more than he would at a pre-school or other big daycare.
