Time to get LOST on DVD! Woot Woot!

First off, today is Sarah Davis' birthday! Happy 17th Birthday, girl! I love ya!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled journal entry! Whoo hoo! LOST came out on DVD today, so mom and I went to Best Buy this evening to get my copy. It was 40 dollars, but considering the fact that there are over 17 hours of the show plus featurettes, it's a great deal. Plus, at Best Buy you get a special bonus disk. In all, it's 8 disks of LOST heaven! I just got a ton of money from my party over the weekend, so I didn't feel guilty for spending so much on it. And it couldn't have been more perfec timing for it to come out! When I got home, I got LOST in my room for a couple hours (haha) and I watched a couple of the special features and bits and pieces of my favorite episodes. It's so awesome! My favorite feature so far is the blooper reel. There's some seriously funny stuff on it! People falling down, acting crazy, and swearing galore. The best part is Michael (a normally boring character) going all ghetto on Charlie... "Yo, back in the states we'd pop a cap in your ass, homie! West Side, Nigga" LOL! In my mind, it's definitely worth the investment of 40 buckaroos.

In other Island news, Gilligan (Bob Denver) passed away today :( I shall remember all of the great times Eddie and I had watching old re-runs of Gillagan's Island. It remains a piece of quality entertainment until this day, and it shall entertain audiences for years to come. Also, I find it rather odd that he'd die on the day that LOST ("the new island show") was released on DVD. Is this some sort of sign that LOST is taking good old Gillagan's place as the worlds' greatest island survival show? Or do I just over-analyze things way more than is healthy? In any case, Rest in Peace, Bob Denver. The campy fun and light-hearted sillyness of Gilligan's Island will always have a place in my heart.
