Itty Bitty Titty Committee I realise Daniela Sea is a hotty totty! (especially in the army gear)
I've been somewhat involved in the T side of the LGBT community and so I find her role as Max on The L Word really interesting. I'd love it if they'd give her more meatier and interesting story lines but somehow her stories often seem to be sidelined or simply a support to the other characters. I wonder if because of her character's FTM status that he is suffering an inverse of the treatment a lot of female characters suffer on mainstream shows. It's a real disappointment because I believe the creators have an amazing opportunity to show a side of the gay life that is often sidelined even within the community.
Anyway, the movie was great. It's so refreshing to see a lesbian movie that is not a coming out movie. The main character, Anna, and her (ex)girlfriend are accepted by her family as they are, with no problems or arguements. The movie itself becomes a journey of discovery not for Anna's sexuality but a discovery of her femininity and finding a voice for that within a society that oppresses and constrains woman with images and "ideals" which are unrealistic and impossible to attain.
In Anna's own words: "Try loving your itty bitty titties."
