SGA Writer Rec: Xanthe
I have spent most of the last week (quickly becoming known as my winter hibernation) lost in the SGA fics of Xanthe. All are skilfully told, weaving canon and fanon in such a beautiful way that it makes you ache on the inside. There is enough to appease both the romantic and the smuttiest side of your brain.
My personal favourites are General & Dr Sheppard (Summary: An accident with Ancient technology sucks a John and Rodney from an alternate universe onto Atlantis - and they have very different ideas about sex, marriage and relationships.) followed by companion piece Coming Home (Summary: “Colonel John Sheppard knew, from the moment he first met Dr Rodney McKay, that the man would be trouble.” ) Both of these are BDSM and novel length so if you don't like don't look... though to be honest I didn't think I'd like reading BDSM but now, turns out its my kink, that's how good of a writer Xanthe is.
