Daydreaming about Heartstrings

May 29, 2011 13:03

Yonghwa had shooting schedule for Heartstrings both Saturday (at Hongdae) and Sunday (at Seoul Institute of the Arts, Ansan campus).

Not much is known about the shooting at Hongdae. They seemed to have blocked off public for the shooting.  Hongdae is where all the clubs are and one of the most popular spot for young arts crowd in Seoul.

Again, not many spoilers out of shooting at Ansan campus, either, except that Yonghwa had shooting schedule pretty much all day.

There was a some kind of theater festival at the school and the students had to keep noises down as much as possible because of the drama shoot.  One of the students posted at twitter that Yonghwa treated the students with ice cream so they were willingly just sitting there and keeping quiet.^^

Lol, Yonghwa really is going to make many of the students at Seoul Institute of the Arts his friends, isn't he?^^

One of the scenes that I really looking forward to is the scene in which Lee Kyu Won sees Lee Shin performing on stage for the first time.  If they can manage to capture even 1/10 of Yonghwa's presence on live stage, that scene will take flight.  I meant his true stage presence on live concerts or at live performances, not at some music programs.

In my opinion, the Korean general public has yet to see how Yonghwa is truly like when he is totally one with his music and performing as if there is nothing else for him but his music and his guitar.  Those who have seen clips of his concert fancams and concert videos knows how he is truly like on live stages, and he truly is maginificent.  That is where his true gift and true magic lies, on live stage in which he can totally concentrate on his music and his guitar.

I would love for the general pulic to get even a small glimpse of this magic through this drama, particularly this scence.  Judging by spoilers, this scene one of the most important scenes in the drama because this is where the relationship between the female lead and the male lead start to change and the female lead start to question her own feelings about music and her talent.

As much I love to speculate endlessly about this scene and this drama in general, I am trying very hard to keep my expectations down so that I can just enjoy the drama without my own expectations getting in the way.  ^^

Meanwhile, since we still have a month or so to go before this drama airs on TV, I started to watch Nodame Cantabile, which I tried to watch numerous times before but gave up each time.  I am not much of a drama watcher (I have a very short attention span when it comes to dramas.) and a subtitle reader (I knew knowing Korean and English wasn't going to be enough.  Why didn't I learn Japanese?!?^^).

I do love the chemistry between the two leads in Nodame Cantabile.  Even better than that is that music is just too awesome.  Once upon a time, I was a girl who loved Beethoven's music so much that I even made a homage to Europe (Vienna and surrounding areas mostly) so that I can pay my own tribute to Beethoven and his legacy.^^   It was my goal at the time to visit Heiligenstadt during that trip, but, regretfully, I didn't make it there... :-(

Anyway... this is a wonderful scene from Nodame Cantabile.  A scene in which showed wonderful chemistry between the two leads.   I love this scene.

Mozart's Sonata for two pianos, played by Nodame and Chiaki Senpai.

I am hoping that Shinhye and Yonghwa have similar kind of on screen chemistry.  ^^
