May Day
Hello, world! Or, well, whatever denizens of Livejournal happen to be reading this. At the beginning of our acquaintance, you find me half-way through a Masters in English Literature, specializing in Victorian literature, with pen cocked and library at the ready. It is a time of thesis-writing and make no mistake: that frenzied look in my eyes is a mixture of passion and fear.
As all the best academics are, I am naturally in the throes of various avoidance techniques! I watch way more television than is likely healthy, and my fandom flag flies most highly for Doctor Who, Supernatural, and Lost in this Spring of 2010. Of course, those are the active television fandoms... I'm also in deep with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, Dead Like Me, and Pushing Daisies. You want to add non-television contemporary fandoms? Then we're talking Discworld, Harry Potter, X-Men, and... oh, the non-contemporary fandoms? Well, then, how about Shakespeare, Sherlock Holmes, and my dear Alice (in Wonderland, that is)...
Oh, bother. We really could go on all night.
So, for now, I will just say that I'm pleased to make your acquaintance, whoever you are. I hope to gibber madly with you - and perhaps even squee* - again soon!
