Highlander CCG returns with 2nd Edition

The Highlander Collectible Card Game, based on the hit TV series starring Adrian Paul and the films starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery, is receiving a second edition treatment and will be available for sale in stores at the end of 2006 or early in 2007.
Beta Edition products currently listed as available include 50-card starter decks for
$12.99 SRP, 9-card booster packs for $3.99 SRP, and two limited edition, direct-order only items available for pre-order: a leather-bound, numbered binder with one each of the full set of Beta Edition Highlander Collectible Card Game cards, each stamped with gold foil and limited to 90 copies for $200, and a similar version that includes everything from the previous set plus a complete set of uncut card sheets for $250, and limited to ten copies.
An ambitious release schedule is planned; the first expansion, in a booster only format, will appear in January, only a month after the Beta set appears. The second expansion, a deck and booster set, is slated for March, and will feature the character Ramirez, played in the films by Sean Connery. The third set, an as yet untitled booster expansion, is scheduled to ship in May, with another deck and booster set based on the TV series Highlander: The Gathering due in July, and two more sets due later in the year.
