And lol, you made a friend there too!! I wonder how much bacon Colin manages to beg stare until visitors give him in to his whiles (silly me, I forgot for a minute there that cats never lower themselves to beg, lol)! :D
"Our B&B was very full of cherubs and nick-nacks from antique shops. The slip of paper with the wifi password had been carefully placed in the hand of a flying cherub descending from above" - I LOVE this!! Always good to have a B&B owner with a sense of humour!
Clouds are fascinating, even with added danger or meanders!
"There were also many cows, whose main pleasure in life seemed to be standing in a great clump by the cattle grid, entirely blocking the road and refusing to move until they'd gathered a good half dozen inconvenienced motorists, whereupon they grudgingly moved, let the cars pass, then moved back again to block the next lot." - I can well imagine this! And they say cows don't have a sense of humour...
Glad you enjoyed it, despite our more usual summer weather (so glad you didn't do it during the heatwave).
