According to the local Gloucester paper, Berkeley Castle is hosting a re-enactment event in which medieval armies recreate the siege of 1545 in which Royalists and Parliamentarians clash. I feel the urge to go to it now. It will probably be full of Victorian chimney sweeps in mob caps.
Today we went for a confusing walk in the woods near Symonds Yat, where we followed red arrows that appeared to have been placed as a result of a random directional choice using a d20. Even more confusingly, many of the trees had "services" painted on them in orange paint, and some had orange faces. The mainland is weird.
