The last 7 days have been a combination of extreams.
GOOD NEWS:
Work this week has been very good overall. I've been very proud of myself as the new Salon Manager. Why am I so proud? I've been setting shit up, on a daily basis!
Remember a lil while ago I said I needed to see results in order to positively reflect on my own abilities/ self worth? Now I'm doing it! *dances*
Goal-setting, motivating staff, conducting 1-on-1 chats with each staff memeber to find out what is boiling their potatoes (I think the ladies are digging the whole 'your opinion is important to the success of the business' angle - I doubt they've been told this before), making orders, arranging models, arranging photographers and make-up artists etc
N/B: If anyone has any mates that in the make-up / posing industry that do a good job, need a go etc ... please swing their details my way. I'm all about giving mate's mates a shot so that everyone wins.
The Hair/ Vanity industry is pretty tops when it comes to perks, freebies and special events. There's a hot new modelling agency opening up, specifically looking for hot flesh with ink and metal. *purr* They want us. We want them. They've got hot chicks and free booze. We got the mad hair skillz. It's such a beautiful arrangment. *sigh
Work front = Happy Honi.
BAD NEWS:
On the home front, there has been much drama and saddness.
Schizel got hit by a car on the weekend. He's currently in the kitty hospital and stabalising. I am sending him all the love I can muster. The Nannas would appreciate it if more positive thoughts could be sent Schizel's way to help him heal. Thanking you all in advance.
GOOD NEWS:
The 2nd Open House for our place was cancelled. Reasons for the cancellation were sad. The actual cancellation itself was good.
GOOD NEWS:
I got a call from Rubber Reactor. And yes, I did cream my pants in excitement. So I'm expecting a package any day now.
:D :D :D :D
And I was a lil rude when they called. Well, I think I was... What do you folks reckon?
Here's the scenario:
When I got the good news that my rubbery delights are ready, I mentioned that my fellow purchasers got a freebie can of shiny in their package, and they spent less than I did.
I asked would it be alright if I also got a free can of shiny. I'm also receiving free postage for my 3 items (they told me this AFTER I had asked for free shiny).
Was asking for a free can of shiny too rude after spending $950 in 1 store????
