I mentioned earlier that Clez and I had sent two of our X-Men characters on an outing to Central Park. It seems this is going to become a regular Sunday event for them. Therefore,
it woke up my art muse.
(Arielle's basis is Eliza Dushku; Luka's is Hugh Dancy.)
I couldn't find words that I liked for the piece, so I wrote what you see there. I realize it might be a little hard to read, especially if your eyes are tired or something, so here's the text:
Just another Sunday, any given Sunday
Central Park's a separate world
Sunlight painting trees of gold
Trefoil arch, the children's zoo,
Shakespeare garden, me and you
The Poet's Walk, Cherry Hill,
Artist's Gate and carousel
Harlem Meer, the lake, the loch,
Turtle Pond and Summit Rock
Lunch at Tavern on the Green
Wollman Rink in snow again
If magic is found anywhere in the realm of New York City,
I think we caught it once or twice on any given Sunday
