*shock* There are *women* in fandom?!

*snort* They only just noticed this at SDCC? I was there in '06 & almost half, if not more than half the crowd was female.
Obviously, they don't know that the person behind the campaign to save TOS Star Trek - was a woman. Or that we're the ones who are usually the most vocal in our critique and support of our shows.
After a while, these articles tend to get old, but they are funny in that usually they act like it's a Big Discovery in that we don't all watch soap operas, think that every woman on the face of the planet reads Twilight & thinks it's the best piece of literature ever written. (To borrow what someone said over on lyssie 's post on this, "I wouldn't touch Twilight with a ten foot pole.")
