Family Drama Update

Well, I am now "Third Party Intervenor" of behalf The Nephew.  This came about because I live in the best school district and have the most adjustable schedule of the siblings who live in town.

Sister #4 is now at a nursing home where she is a) like the youngest and b) the most mobile of the residents there.  She is now on straight Medicare vs. Medicaid and we are trying to get her back to a true rehab facility vs. a nursing aka containment facility so we can make progress with her rehab from her injuries vs. backsliding since where she's at now provides no rehab care.

We have to wait until like DECEMBER before we can get the divorce pushed through because we have a brand new judge in charge of the civil case and she's asking for things in like triplicate over and over again.  We are hoping legal aid can push that forward and get it done sooner now.

The DUI case is continually being postponed and the prosecutor last month was like, "Why are you wasting my time?"  - totally unaware of the physical damages that had occurred with this past DUI incident, until Sis # 2 pretty much shoved the pic of Sis # 4 in the ICU post-op with all the tubes everywhere.  We are hoping we can get him prosecuted and sentenced to jail time, finally, in the near future to get him off the streets, at least for a time.

See, what I love about this is that in the divorce case, he said that the marriage is irrevocably broken with no hope for reconciliation and that he has had physical custody of The Nephew since the accident, so he wants support $$.  Uhm, he swore that he told the truth in his deposition and he so did NOT.  The asshole can't tell the truth if his life depended on it - he's a pathological liar.

Now, in the criminal case, he's got his sleazy lawyer telling the court that he and sister are going to get back together and he can't go to jail because he's got The Nephew to support, seeing as he's the only parent due to the accident.

The Slug is awake and now, we're heading out to Six Flags for the day!
