Can you say "Insane?!" I knew you could! :-p

Oh things are on the "up swing" at the Pink Place. At least, according to our crazy boss lady....

New Esthie lady B is really sweet, I do like her. I think she'll survive the insanity at the pink place just fine, since she's not looking to work full time. She's essentially a retiree who's not really looking to retire.

However, new MT A? Seriously looking to get on my bad side and stay there. It's bad enough that our stupid boss GAVE HER MY MASSAGE CREAM to use like her first day there. (It was up on a shelf, behind the rose water toner, so WTF was she doing handing it out like it was her property? Just because it didn't have my name on it, doesn't make it hers to hand over willy-nilly. Besides, why not just give her a cup of it to use vs. the whole freaking tub?! That was my product, not the spa's and I really should ask her to reimburse me for that, because that was just freaking crass of her to take it like that!) She apparently stole money out of nail tech K's purse and just won't take no for an answer about working.

She was all upset that she wasn't on the schedule for Sunday and didn't have anyone on the books for Tuesday. She wanted me to give up my client I had. She asked receptionist M about it and my answer to M was that I needed the money - I had only ONE day of work on the last pay period because of my Chicago trip, so no, I wasn't going to give it up. Not liking that answer, she apparently called Boss Lady & wanted her to get me to give it up. I texted Boss Lady back politely and said that no, I needed to work and that A would just have to wait her turn to book.

I get there Sunday afternoon and she's there anyway!!!! So, I go off to the room I'm going to use to find that she's set up all her crap in there, like she's going to do a full massage. I move it out of there because I'm not taking this client into the middle room since I don't like working in there when I've only got one client, not a couple's massage and the first room is set up more for facials than anything else and the table in that room is just really narrow and not as comfortable as the larger tables in the other rooms. My client comes in, I do his massage and send him on his way and new girl is all like, "Why didn't you tell me you moved my stuff?"

I told her that it was in my way that I needed that room to work on the client and that it was just easier to work in that room than it was the other room.

It's days like that, that I wish we still had the lockers in the back - I could tell her that she needed to keep it in the back until she had a session and needed it.

Room 3 is NOT her personal room. We all have to room hop some days, depending on the schedule and being that she is the newest person, she is the lowest person on the totem pole when it comes to booking and she's just going to have to understand that.

I work 2 other places for a reason - that's so when it's slow at the one job, I can work to pick up clients at the other places. I don't depend solely on the pink place to find me clients. That's part of the business - it goes in cycles and if you don't work to find clients, then you will just have to deal with the slow times. Don't go stealing from coworkers because that's going to bite you in the ass big time.

It gets even better because I left Sunday afternoon a little after 2, since I only had the one client, I wasn't going to stick around because a) I was hungry b) creepy coworker was annoying me by being there and trying to steal clients and c) I wanted to go see Brave that day.  Sweet (and devilishly funny) receptionist C was in the back cleaning at the end of the day.  Apparently, no customers were left in the store, so A snuck out the door when no one was looking after stealing a bunch of cash tips from the box.  I heard back from one coworker this morning and she said that she talked to Boss Lady.  Boss Lady said that she'd be handling it today.  So, we will see if new girl gets canned or written up.  Boss Lady never likes to address problems - she just likes to pretend everything is fine.

Karma, as she was saying the other day, is a powerful thing. Maybe her car got wrecked on Saturday because she stole money from K and quite possibly B who also reported $20 missing.  My thought is that it's time to put up hidden cameras over the register and back bar areas, plant a trap, see if we catch her in the act.

Time to terminate this chick and turn her over to the cops for theft.  If she's got drug issues, it's time to send her on her way.  I tried to help the crazy owner find a respectable MT to hire and she ignored me, and ignored the gal when she called.  She hired this thief and will find every reason she can to avoid firing her because she really hates to admit she's wrong.
