Crazy Neighbor Round Three, Four - I don't know anymore!

Nov 01, 2011 09:47

Okay, the Crazy Crew moved out beginning of August & then, in late September the landlord's sister B moved in.

I knew B from when she had lived below me in Apt H & I knew she had problems then, because I could hear her yelling and screaming at her boyfriend R.

They both worked at Wally - he as a door greeter, primarily and she worked infants & toddlers.

Well, they moved out and over to another apartment owned by my landlord on West 5th Street and then, eventually down to Union.

When I saw my new neighbor was B, I was like, "Okay, she's a bit off her rocker but at least she keeps herself and her place clean and now, that she's single, I shouldn't have any problems with her screaming and yelling at the boyfriend.

I wondered if her issues were booze related or psychological based when I saw that Crider Services (they have an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility here in town and the major psychiatric hospital up in Wentzville) was helping her move in.

Then, one Wednesday morning about 3 weeks back, I get an urgent knocking on my door.  B's sis-in-law K, a retired nurse, had come over to do a wellness check on her and to bring her stuff, I guess, and found her unconscious in her bathroom.

Her words to me were, "I need you to call 911 because B's fallen and needs help.  I can't get my phone to call 911."

So, I call 911 and when the operator starts questioning me on what happened, I hand the phone off to the sister-in-law who then proceeds to tell the operator that it was a suicide attempt.

By the time it's all said and done, I think I had like 3 or 4 police cars, ambulance and a slew of volunteer firefighters all show up for the call.

She gets carted off to the hospital and I figured, if she lived, she'd end up back in a long term treatment facility once again.

I haven't seen her since the suicide attempt and then, last week Wednesday, there's movement next door and it turns out that they're moving B out!

I think I have a new neighbor now, since there's apparently been movement next door and I can only hope that this new person is finally mentally stable.  I've been in this apartment for eight years and have had a steady stream of crazy/sleazy neighbors over the years.

I know the guy in Apt F is bi-polar and crazy religious.  He's the type I expect to one day just snap and go murder someone for the stupidest of reasons (i.e. someone disagreeing on a bible verse or misquoting it) because he's just that nucking futz.  The guy in D has some serious handicaps and has had major brain surgery in the past, since his hair doesn't quite hide the scares.  The old lady in A seems nice enough and no clue about the folks in B & C.

I can only hope now, that after living her for eight years, I finally get a neighbor who's sane.  :-p
