Well, just made some phone calls to various places to get my car fixed so it is in some semblance of running order and the good news is that I will be able to get the two major issues fixed before I leave with no problem.
Only thing is, I have to find a way to get to and from work one day, but that might not be too much of an issue, there is a co-worker of mine who lives in a town to the east of mine might give me a ride to and from work one night if I ask nicely in advance and give her some gas money (just gotta make sure she's working that night, if not, I likely can find someone else out that way). And the place where I will be taking the car to is close enough that I can walk to and from there, so I can take it over on a morning and pick it up on the day I move (just doesn't give me much chance to get used to the fact that I have power steering again after over six months of being without!)
Basically, as I was figuring, most I could spend to fix the car was $350 and still be able to afford costs for moving, barely.
Basically what it is looking like is that it will cost the following:
$75 for labor on power steering, $80 for part, just gotta go a bit far out to pick it up tomorrow
$50 to fix the cooling system leak, which was a rough estimate. I know by looking at the leak, it might actually run a bit less, as its not the water pump having problems, its a leak in a hose or connector, very simple, and if I knew how, I would do it myself :)
So $205 when I was expecting that $350 might not be enough, yay!
Now just to get everything packed up and still trying to get rid of my stuffs, but one of my co-workers might buy some furniture from me, and I came up with an idea to get rid of another piece of furniture :)
