She Lives
Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope your day has been jolly and fun.
Man, I feel so narcissistic coming on here just to post some pictures after such a lengthy absence. But _lady_narcissa_ sent me the coolest Slytherin ornaments, and I wanted to share.
This year's tree is minimal because of two furry additions to the family; in fact I had to snap these pictures in a hurry & de-ornament it before the kitten woke up from his nap.
We got the Philosopher's stone at Wizarding World of HP during Infinitus. The wooden snake is actually a worm... but it can pass off as a snake, right? :D
I try not to pick favourites as I truly appreciate each ornament G picks out, but ZOMG, how cool is the Snape suncatcher???? Oh flist, I so wish you could see this baby in person. The details are lovely, from the green potion in the cauldron down to the buttons. The sky was darkening when we finally got around to opening presents so I couldn't catch the stained glass at its most gorgeous, but here it is again on a light fixture:

I have no idea how long it takes for a kitten to outgrow its curiosity. If his nosiness keeps up this may very well be the last Slytherin Tree installment you'll see. *sigh*
