It started off pretty good with some nice weather broken up with a fair bit of rain. We did have a thunderstorm about two in the morning which woke Steve and me up.
On a sadder note, my elderly neighbour passed away. He had fallen and broken his hip. He went to the hospital to get a new hip replacement but he got sepsis. It traveled to his brain and he passed. He was such a friendly man, he and his wife have been married for over 50 years and she is absolutely devastated. I will call in and make sure she is all right but how do you recover from losing the man that you loved for so long?
Steve and I decided to travel into the city, we wanted to go to the Haymarkets. Because we had quite a bit of rain the night before, the trains were completely disrupted. We ended up being stuck at Tempe for an hour, then Redfern for over half an hour. A normal 45 minute trip took over 3 hours. We finally got to the city, had lunch, did a little shopping and came home. Thank god they got the trains sorted out. I swear a little rain and the whole system falls apart.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
