in which I am made to watch Skyfall (spoilers), and other things
Hello, new friends from the friending meme! I apologize that I have no intro post to which I can direct you...it is something of an ongoing dilemma. :P The short version of things is that I am 22, I live in Illinois, and I mostly post about comics and Doctor Who. Any questions, go for it.
In the land of recent updates, I have finally solved the Great Library Mystery. And by solved, I mean I called the central branch and a librarian explained it to me. A lot of the books I thought I couldn't place on hold because they were too new are actually just getting blocked by a glitch in the computer system. But apparently I just have to call and the librarian can place the holds for me, hooray!
Speaking of books, I just finished reading Eleanor & Park. It was nice, and it definitely had some really great moments, but I was not as in love with it as I expected to be after I read John Green's review of it.
My dad made me watch Skyfall with him, and since I had never actually seen a James Bond movie before I was sort of confused. It seemed like the director picked a bunch of dramatic-looking locations and sort of made a collage of action sequences in each one, and that was the movie? Which is cool and all, but I just wanted the movie to be all about Q and Eve. That is all. (Also, I thought everyone said there was no Moneypenny in this movie, which, there was, and she was the best everything.)
It was nice outside today, and I went and bought some comics. I got Batwoman #18, and then the first two issues of Fearless Defenders. I was flipping through them because everyone's been saying they're great, and then I saw Valkyrie on a flying horse and I was like, BEST THING. I haven't read them yet, though, because Skyfall.
New Doctor Who tomorrow! Jenna-Louise Coleman's adorable face has been all over Tumblr lately and I am excited to see her on the show.
