North African/Middle Eastern protests...

Feb 22, 2011 01:31

I have spent the whole night reading about the horrible goings on of these places, especially in Libya, where hundreds have been murdered in two days by their own government. I don't know what's going on with my world right now, but I don't like it. These people are fighting for freedom and being blown away by .50 bullets as big as my hand. Egypt and Tunisia have succeeded in claiming their democracy, but it's not going to be so easy (easy is a very loaded word here) for some of these other 8 or 9 countries trying to follow in their footsteps. I don't know what to do other than watch in horror as the media reports about Justin Bieber's haircut instead of the deadly revolution in the Middle East. Ugh. I'm roped in now, I can't stop caring or hermiting away like a typical American until all the bad stuff is gone.

Support Libya. #supportlibya
