It took me 4 days to write this. The concert was Saturday xDD

So. I went to the Framing Hanley concert last night at the Machine Shop, and it was the only concert that has even come close to the awesome that was the Green Day concert. As of right now, I'm really not sure which one was better, and yet it had nothing to do with Framing Hanley at all, lol.

Keep reading to view my recap of one of the most epic nights ever, of my life anyway... (No seriously, read this. Baby Jesus would want you to.)

Alright so, I don't know if you know anything about Framing Hanley, but they are kind of a emo-kid kind of band. Their most major hit was definitely their cover of Lil' Wayne's Lollipop, which I'm sure I've posted before, but you can see it here, for those of you who are just tuning in.

So, other than that song, I am not a HUGE fan or anything, but I dig their music enough to shell out $10 to go to the local rock n' roll bar in town to see them(PLUS the lead singer is fucking smokin' hot and I would have paid $10 just to stand and stare at him.) I have only been to the Machine Shop a couple times, and the first time was disasterous when I saw Crossfade, and the second time was good when I saw Theory of a Deadman, but this time.... I fear I'm going to abuse the adjective "amazing" before the end of this post. Just bear with me.

First Amanda, Stephanie and I went out to Archie's for dinner, and then headed over there and got there a little before 7 because it said doors open at 7, so we thought that's what time it started. Lol, wrong. "Doors open" does not mean "show starts" ... in fact, we stood there for 2 hours, in the same spot because if you move from your spot by the stage you will NEVER get back there. It's always 1000 degrees in the Machine Shop because it's literally the size of a small mechanic's garage, but it was surprisingly cool in there.

In the mean time we had ourselves some rum and coke, people watched, complained about standing around, and talked about other concerts we've been too. Then some guy from the Banana 101.5 website came and asked if we wanted our picture taken for the website, and me and Steph were like SURE but Amanda was like FU and moved out of it. And I think, other than my unsightly arm fat, we look pretty darn cute ^_^

So anyway, after standing around forever, the first band starts, and obviously it's a band we've never heard. You know how you normally don't really dig the first opening act or two for whoever you went to see? (unless you went for them but that doesn't count) Well yeah, I was instantly blown away by how AWESOME this band was. I mean they all looked kind of goofy but they were good, and the bassist was adorable and then I realized... HOLY SHIT!! Backstory:

In the parking lot we parked next to this small ass trailer attached to a creeper van and there was a sliding door open with a dude inside on a laptop and I said, with an open window "there's a creep over there in that van" ... and then I we started talking about how Framing Hanley's tour bus was parked over yonder, and then... it occurred to me that it must be the tour van for one of the bands, and figured the people around and in it were just like, stage hands or whatever.

So then, I get out and see this intense looking guy with bushy curly hair jump in the back of the van and was like weird... and was still just assuming it was the tech crew, and then this adorable guy with a Monroe piercing and emo glasses jumps out of the back and smiles at me and I grin all broadly at him and I'm not sure which one of us blushes and looks away first, lol.

BACK TO PRESENT - The bassist IS THAT GUY. Omg. So I flailed and then Amanda told me his tattoos were all Where The Wild Things Are tats and I squeed some more, and then I realized that the lead guitarist was the guy I insulted that was on the laptop in the van, and felt like a douchebag. And they were just freaking awesome and I love them so much.

Okay next band, but don't forget Transmit Now because I am far from done with them.

That is The Veer Union, who rocking my fucking face off. I seriously can't even tell you how awesome they were. I fucking love black lead singers of rock bands, I am always impressed. And him and his drummer did the sweetest drum duet thing together, where they smoothly set up a super set up drums all while still playing, so then they started circling the drums playing, drumming on random parts of it. It was so coooool!! And in the mean time, I almost piss myself because cute Bassist from Transmit Now is meandering through the crowd with a box of CDs. He finally gets over to us and I'm like FLAIL ILL HAVE ONE PLEASE... and I couldn't find my money, and Amanda reminds me that it's in my bra. So I hand this poor, hot guy the sweatiest, grossest ten dollar bill ever!! Omg, it's a good thing he was clearly smashed. SO I asked for a picture with him, but it turned out like shit, so we turned him loose because I didn't want to occupy all his time. And then the waitress squeezed through with a rack of vials filled with pretty shots. So I bought 3 shots for me and my friends at $4 each (OUCH) and they were amazing. I had a Blue Motherfucker. The only ingredient I heard her say was "100 proof vodka" and I was sold. It's my fave =)

SO ANYWAY, The Veer Union is almost done, and I've done screamed so hard I can hardly speak, and they rocked so hard my eardrums were blown, and I'd danced around so much my legs were dead... all before the headliner band came on. And in between the two bands was a seriously long wait, and it was so hot, and I was in so much pain by that point, because I am still not like 100%, and I just couldn't take it. So I told my friends I needed a water and a rest, so I slipped out of super tight crowd, who swore at me and pushed me, and finally found the surface.

I sat on a stack of milk crates by the door, ordered a water from a waitress, and sat there for about 5 minutes, and then as luck would have it, Framing Hanley starts, and I know there's no way I would get back in there, plus I was hurting so I couldn't even fathom trying to stand another hour or so, but as I was sitting there, watching Nixon sing from a mile away, the lead singer of The Veer Union comes up to me and asks why I'm not watching the show! I told him I was too tired and he like, scoffed at me, HUGGED me and told me I could do it, and to get up there and watch them play... so I did. I floated back over there on cloud nine because EEEEE cute lead singer with the axe blade mohawk hugged me!!! ^_^ and it was surprisingly easy to weasel my way right back up to ALMOST where I was, which, let me tell you, was so fucking close I could see the bands' pupils. And Nixon is SO fucking hot, and the girls in front of me KNEW the band and were the official groupies, and he seriously only sang to our side of the stage. It was sooo excellent. And since they were right in front of me, I felt like he was singing at me. Swoooooon. *cheap thrill seeker*

To be honest, Framing Hanley was my LEAST favorite of the three bands, and that's who I went to see!! But by the time their set was done, I was so beyond elated that I practically Genied out of the bar. And then it only got better, because the drummer of Transmit Now was standing outside with a t-shirt and CD box, and I was SO sad because I already spent my money, and we were like the only people that left for some reason, and he stopped us and I had to admit I spent all my money on booze. He was like awww okay, and I asked him to sign my cd, and we were all so stupid drunk/excited that none of us could get the case open, and it was hilarious, and I gushed about how much I loved them, and he was all flattered and happy.

BUT THEN!!! SEXY BASSIST WHO HAS BEEN STALKING ME I SWEAR mosied on over and I asked him for another picture, and this one turned out FABULOUS, and he hugged us all, and signed my CD, and thanked us and it was just a gay old time with just us, the bassist and the drummer. Whose names, btw, are Lee and Greg xDD I probably should have told you that forever ago but anyway. Check out the best thing that's ever happen to me...

It might not be Adam or David Cook or anyone else super ~cool to meet, but I don't care. They were fucking awesome, fun guys who love their fans and it was great to actually get to talk to them like normal humans instead of through fences or behind barricades like they are zoo animals.

just jizzed in my pants, pimpage, omg, you should check this shit out
