So when I got to the gym I *really* didn't want to work out. There was just too much stuff whirling around in my brain, was feeling lazy, and I was worried about having another horrid workout. But I got some encouragment, and I told my brain to shut up for an hour, and that combination seemed to do the trick. Also, I did a little expectation management and took the fact that I've essentially been off exercise for a lot of days, and didn't go with a huuuuge workout I wouldn't be able to complete.

So! Today I spent half an hour on the treadmill and went 2.17 miles, running a mile of that at 5.7mph. I supposedly burned 230 calories. My heart rate after the run was in the 180s, and after a decent number of minutes walking would hang out in the 160s.

I felt pretty successful with that, and I managed to make myself start some weights too, which was ok once I got started. I did a few machines off the gym's presetup circuit. I did weights for half an hour, all arms and a bit of ab work. I'm pretty weak, and my biceps are apparently stronger than my shoulders. lol That's gotta change. I really liked the weights as a way to cool down after the cardio though. Good stuff.

The pool was empty and it looked goooood. Hopefully soon!

Also, Wednesday was weigh-in day. I was 157.2 lbs, with 30.8% body fat. 49.2 was the percent of my weight due to fat.

I'm hoping to exercise again tomorrow after work. We'll see!
