I saw New Rose Hotel today, on dvd.
And GOD, was I fucking disappointed. I hate being disappointed in a movie, but this was just so so so bad!
It stars Christopher Walken (good), Willem Dafoe and Asia Argento (tres good) so I thought it's gonna be fabilous. It's the only Asia clip I haven't had my hands on, now I did and....can't say I regretted it, coz of steamy steamy hot sexy yummy orgasmic Asia scenes, but it was written sooo horridly DULL.
The story line is good, tres good, could have been an amazing film, but no...William Gibson and Abel Ferrera ruined it ALL!
I thought I was gonna die by the end of the film.
Again, I must say Asia did a fabulous work playing a girl without morals who screwed them all over. There was also short scenes of lesbian sex with Asia involved which made me happy, extremly happy. That was oh so very hot.
She also did some singing bits, which was .... good to say at least. Orgasmic.
I honestly think Asia herself would be better work then Abel Ferrera, really. Dullnes all around. The main character threw himself of the balcony out of no fucking reason, too fucking sudden I just sat and blinked at the screen for five minutes.
I so wish it was a better movie, it has soo much potential to be one, godammit. And that's all I did today. Seen New Rose Hotel and feeling disappointed.
Oh and I saw Match Men with Nicholas Cage (who I adore) and that was tres tres good. Liked it very much. Dear old Nic never let me down, always being a tad bit sychopatical. I love it.
