Come-a-Come-a-Dum Doobie Do Dum Dum - A Groovy '62 Charles/Erik Fanmix

Aug 11, 2011 19:53

ETA: should probably warn you: first mix ever, first foray into any fandom in any way in the last 2 (3?) years. Rusty and inexperienced, woot! Consider yourselves forewarned.

This mix is comprised entirely of Billboard Hot100 #1 songs, which topped the charts in 1962.
For all the vidders and fanfic authors looking for era-accurate inspiration, and anybody who's open to some slightly cracky, often nostalgic, real cool earworms.

cover art and encouragement by the always groovy
mresundance .

If you know of any vids or fic using those songs - or other from the era - do be so kind and send me a link in the comments. The world (by which I mean me, mostly) needs more vids like
kuwdora 's mashup: Duke of Earl and fics where the kids dance to 'Monster Mash' or Charles whistles 'He's a Rebel' or 'The Stripper' comes up on the radio during a chess match... This entry was originally posted at http://ladymajavader.dreamwidth.org/560.html. Please comment there using OpenID.
