So there's a question on the MA ballot about low-income housing permits. I read through the Pro and Con on this question from my Election Help brochure. Generally, I can tell from that which side is the Special Interest and which side makes actual sense, and vote accordingly.
But this one is very confusing. If I read it correctly, right now, you can get all your permits together when you are doing low-income housing - and I gather they live and die together (if you miss one, the entire thing is hung up). The law wants to break this apart.
What do people think about this one? Who (involved in creating the question) has an agenda, and what is it? I understand that "low-income housing" isn't just for "welfare queens" and helps people, but I can't tell from the question whether it's actually redressing a problem and will make things better, or not. Opinions?
