last night i drank daiquiris and could not taste the very strong tequila and that is how i know i'm an alcoholic. also: cheap wine mixed with coke. and in the back of an a capella concert because it is a good place to drink.
i love my roommates. we don't wear many clothes because it is so hot. we spy on the courtyard's goings-on. it is not too hot for sex but it almost is. marcela and i ran errands & are friends. ben is maybe drunk. later i will be drunk and by later i mean after six-thirty.
leah is voting for bush because she is from new jersey and doesn't know better and also because she resents me. tomorrow we are watching the convention on cspan all day. i am jealous of shelly and her rabid left-wing professors who are, according to a recent book, "redder than overripe tomatoes."
i am trying to write poems but my personal poetry is a failure because i do not want to be a person i want to be unbearable. that wasn't me that was anne carson.
