A quick note...
I just noticed something that might help explain the scene on the cover of Deathly Hallows.
If you compare the very first Grand Pre cover to this last Grand Pre cover, you'll see the similarities. Maybe the artist is just bringing the art to a close with similar framing to both images? I don't know, but it's possible. If you think of it that way, the raggedness of curtains might be more an indication of the passage of time than a hint that they are representations of the veil we all know and hate.
