Yesterday I was going to post a blog about how I felt like Cinderella, who need to do a ton of chores before she could go to the ball (or in my case gaming). Except I ended up playing kingdom hearts till pretty much the last minute.
Gaming was great, had a good time. Then stopped to get my sisters laptop. She was very nasty to me, especially when I suggested it might not be done till at the earliest 1pm the next day. I took the laptop home and worked on it from 7-10pm. It had spyware on it, so me and Jim both suggested reinstalling. I told her it might be two weeks before we had the time to do it. She didn't understand why it might take two weeks for us to get around it to, you know with this weekend almost over and next weekend being Easter, and us already having plans to tape (and then make dvd's of) Ali's dance recital this thursday.
Katie decided she's going to reinstall the laptop herself. And I say good for her, it shouldn't be too bad, she has HP reinstall disks, and this way I don't get blamed if anything goes wrong.
We also added memory to her laptop (I had an extra 128 meg DIMM laying around), and in a very unKatie like moment, she asked if she could give us any money for the memory. I replied, No but you could buy me a burrito or something (my standard response for work on family/friends computers is a $5.25 Chipolte burrito, if Jim and I both work on it a pizza){I don't expect it, unless I say before had I'll only look at it for, but if they offer thats how I respond} And it actually occured to her that you know a memory stick is worth more then a burrito. I don't mind at all because it was something I'm not using, and am not likely to use, but it was nice to see her GET it.
