The white of the paper glows then and she draws, using her pencil to chase away the brightness.

As far as technique, this works. I remember one famous sculptor quoted as saying that the form, the statue was already there, he was just freeing from the block of rock. It also works as a metaphor in the context of Parker, if that makes any sense.

She always has to sharpen her pencil at least twice before she's finished with him.I love this. You can also sharpen a pencil with a knife. It's something I've done before and I can kinda see Parker doing it idly, and if people were around, Hardison especially, they'd wonder what the heck she was doing before she finished and started drawing again ( ... )

Geez, this make me want to draw so badly right now, so I guess you're doing something right. ;)

Woman, are you trying to make me cry with happiness in your very clever attempts at owning my soul? Seriously.

This is lovely! The details about Parker being a cheapskate are especially fun and insightful.

renisanz's sketches and other P/H posts are inspiring some fantastic fic. I think she is the P/H muse of LJ! :)

He's in the center. He always is. Although, he didn't used to be. If she had the older books and was inclined to such inner examinations, she could track his slow orbit to the center of her days. She's not, though, and the books are long lost.

That is so lovely and perfect, as is the whole piece. It's a wonderful little character study.
