oh Texas
the trip to michigan was fun. although we were all so ready to get out of the van! it was good bonding time with people though. i got trent saying "pop" and "you guys" even if it was only to mock me. lots of fun memories. the best of which were probably the papertowel fight ending with stoney saying "hey that's not fair, trent's piece is bigger than mine" and when it got so hot that everyone was screaming and undressing and every single window, including the windshield, was completely fogged up and jeremy couldn't figure out how to turn the heat off. hahaha. the snow was fun too. got lots of good pics. and nothing beats spending a little time with my little brothers. :)
well last night was the district staff Xmas party in Amarillo. after the 3rd dinner here i can say with confidence... someone needs to show these people down here how a dinner is done in the north! they have no idea what they're missing. when i left dinner last night i had to go get something to eat. but it was a fun little party anyway. complete with a lymric we made up about Ted, Kevin continually grabbing my leg, and a massive bean war that lasted throughout christmas carols, the D.S.'s speech, and even a little during prayer :) let's just say when i undressed last night beans fell all over my bedroom floor. also, i really knew i was at a Texan party when the DS said "Let's pray. oh by the way, did you see my new black lizard skin cowboy boots??!" haha.
jeremy and i had an interesting conversation the other day that led absolutely nowhere and ended with "what will it take for you to let go?" and "i don't know, i don't think i can" though i realize it was not completely pointless, it felt like it at the time. oh who knows! and it's gonna be Chicago for New Year's again this year! woo hoo! we love the windy city!
