So the count is down to three - 4 year old twins, who pretty much seem to keep each other occupied, and a 6 year old who likes to push my boundaries of what I'll let him get away with, but pfft, he's over at his grandmothers now, so not my problem. They're cute kids, and they entertain themselves, so I'm free to work on arts and craft projects with the occasional pause to break up a fight. They're a lot better behaved than the other 3+ all boy families I took care of. They're also homeschooled, and not allowed to watch HP or LotR. I asked Mrs. Smoak if this was due to violence, or for spiritual beliefs, but she wouldn't give me a straight answer, which makes me tentative about what stories I tell the kids, y'know? If HP is bad, is it ok for me to tell fairy-tales with wizards 'n stuff? Or SOLAR recounts (very popular with the kids I sit for...). I'm just tryin' to figure out how to entertain the kids for the next 3 days while not offending the parents.
Meanwhile, the ear infection has me going up and down. The most relief I can get from the damn thing is locking myself in a steaming bathroom - It had an instant effect this morning. The worst part about it is the fact that the coughing and sneezing are extremely painful, due to the persistant aches from the wreck and from other stuff. I just hope I get over this quick.
Ginger tea makes me happy.
I splurged today, and got, besides a lot of Pocky for SOLAR (entirely bought out Wal-Mart's supply of Chocolate Pocky... all three packs, plus some strawberry), a gingerbread house (FINALLY found one! Geez!), a copy of The Sound of Music on DVD, and Season 1 of the Muppets Show.
