Holy crap, I'm employed!

I accepted the job offer that I had on the table. It was just too good to pass up. When I did the math again, the commute really isn't 1.5 hrs each way, it's just over an hour (really). And the pay more than compensates for that small inconvenience. After a while, I can always try to get transferred to an office a bit closer to my home. That's what I'll be aiming for in the short term.

Still, I found myself a job. On my own merits. In the middle of a freaking worldwide economic downturn.

I feel quite pleased with myself.
