-- Country ;D *is creative* 'Inyaron' means 'the West Country', 'Mithyaron' means 'the High Country' and 'Loryaron' (Loria) means 'the Wind Country'. And guess what the capital of 'Nasyaron' ('the Iron Country') is? Indeed, my creativity knows no bounds. O_o Oh wow...she's gone up in the world since Midlanders, Southerners, Westerners and etc... ;) *ducks*
Ah, yes, the story. Always nice to see more Cochalyon pre-Hold, even if it just keeps making the Hold-Cochalyon more unbearable. Those two...makes me glad I didn't have a sibling of the same gender. ;)
Loved all the details worked in over the course of the rescue operation--and the whole setting of the rescue operation itself, sad as it is. Only whets my appetite to see more of this portion of the timeline...
Just loved the turn at the end. Rohennas has sure got some impressive facial-expression-controlling abilities, doesn't she? ;D
Thanks for posting (and thanks for harrassing, Shanra)! It was a lovely bit of lunch-fodder indeed.
I hardly call pining away where Alyssa can see (well, read) it harassing her. ^-~ And I second the more of this part of the timeline bit!
*ruffles Cochalyon's hair for good measure* We loves pre-Hold Cochalyon, we does. (He needs a nickname, Lyssa! 'cause I'm lazy and bad at making up nicknames. ^-~)
I like feathery year-shifters, so no doubt there'll be more ... (Actually I was thinking yesterday about where a prequel sort of story for the main 'Iron Hold' storyline would begin, and I think it would make sense to do it from Cochalyon's point of view in order to be able to sensibly explain Inyaron a bit ... that won't get written for years/ever, though, but hey, I muse. XD)
Um ... Seithenyn calls him 'Chalyon and Arathalian calls him Milord, but neither of those are particularly short, are they? I'm open to suggestions ;)
*hugs* Happy study/GW while I'm away and settling, precious!
I have none :p We'll settle for Chalyon for now, then. Because it's the only pretty combination you can make from the name. Besides Lyon, and that just makes me think of him as a baguette. >< That, or he gets a mane... And Thalian isn't the shortest name in the world either, anyway.
*huggles back* Have a marvellous time settling, me dear! (And send cards! Cards are marvellous, especially the Japanese ones.^-~)

Yep yep--more pre-Hold Cochalyon is always welcome! (and boy I'm finding that name hard to type for some reason...)

Um, it does inhabit opposite ends of the keyboard, yes. Gives the fingers a workout. Deliberately chosen, of course. XD

*cackles* But same-gender siblings are the only ones who understand you when you speak Toothbrush! Even my own mum can't speak Toothbrush effectively.
Rohennas is doing rather well for a year-shifter, yes ... usually it's only royalty and the moon fae who prefer to keep a stiff face ;D
Thanks for reading, my sweet! Good luck with work and the dreaded Poser while I'm away ...
