I found this while dragging my feet through more notes. (*whine* I hate htmlising this junk ...) Will anyone believe me if I say I'm 90% confident this is the last one
( Read more... )
Thalian, darling, try getting her a parrot. They talk and don't use magic. Though, admittedly, they do need other sustenance.
I love and adore the couches. Seriously. I want a couch like that.
I love the whole piece actually. I really like the notes of more serious matters woven through something that's, essentially, just a really silly story. I love the little detail about Estelhari being the one sustaining the furniture. And I'm not going to get more useful than this, am I? Oh! No, wait.
“Well, shouldn’t be trying to house a wyrm with a middling-sized city, now, should we?” <- You're missing a subject, I believe... (Vonre is laughing now, by the way, over their inability to create 'proper self-sustaining creatures'.)
There. Usefulness. ^-^
Actually this whole piece makes me curious what these two would be like if they hadn't been head-deep in a war they're fast losing. I love the constant feeling of 'what if' that your pieces have. It gives them an incredible sense of realism. *applauds*
I want a couch like that. -- I don't think I do. My couch would be abusive. "Get off your lazy behind! You've been sitting here playing games ALL MORNING!"
The subject drop was deliberate - it's Estelhari's Snippy-Sarcastic Voice. Doesn't work? :(
(Bad Von! Oooh, Estelhari would have a strop! XD She can create self-sustaining creatures, but then you actually have to sustain them and take care of the waste products ...)
I think Estelhari would've been an avid gardener and Arathalian would've had a half-dozen or more shrieking fairy kids (with possible bee delusions). XD XD
That ye old speak is hard going. Makes you wonder whether all the oldtimers had lisps, actually. O_o (And why it didn't occur to them earlier to drop the -eths and -ests ...)
Ah, but that kind of usage makes sense. It's like listening to Parliamentary speakers and/or lawyers using deliberately formalised language. I bet it drives you crazy, though *laughs and points* XD
Speaking of whiiich ... I lost the conversation where we had this going. ;D Your short contains both Joltir and Kazie, correct? My next question then is ... urm ... is it romantically themed?
Awww, that was just too funny! It was hard not to bust out laughing; and my boss just had to keep calling me every few minutes (so much for a peaceful morning break)--I think she was startled by my amused tone the first time. ;)
I do so love that couch! *snugs* Poor Estelhari...I just love her penchant for animating everything. =)
3am is a bad time to write. I actually glanced at my piano and decided it looked reproachful ("you never play me any more!", probably ;P) and it went downhill from there.
I'm really glad you like Estelhari. I've grown very fond of her, odd button or no. ;) Thankees for reading, hon!
*cackle* Would you believe that Estelhari survives? (gaspu!) I've only mentioned it in passing, but she actually packs up and leaves Inyaron some years before Arathalian finally attacks Talton.
*sulkily* Surrounded by sarcastic people, I am. (Just because I can't happen to think of any other support character I haven't killed off - that is coincidence! Coincidence! XD)

I've got images of them sending out couches and chests of drawers to do battle with the evil ironbloods now XDDD
