Beautiful day!

The sun is shining, the wattle-birds are all singing, and I keep expecting some excruciatingly cute child to come skipping across the lawn singing. What a beautiful day! I love it when you can just sniff the air, smell all the eucalypts and the summer packing its bags for the Christmas visit. ;D ( Read more... )

Oh, yuck! I was quite enjoying myself until you mentioned them eyes...was wondering if it might be Nuan at first, childhood memories and all. =P

Love the imagery and the meter seems great, though I didn't do any counting.

And you can write outside? Seems an amazing talent to me.

Oh, I *love* writing outside when it's warm. I'd live outside if I could plug a modem into the fruit trees. ;) You occasionally have to shift over a bit to avoid being inspected by assorted ants and bugs, but at least that prevents the legs going to sleep!

I can't write, study, or even read outside. Sunlight is too much, but besides that, everything going on amid the grass and all is just too distracting for me.

Ah, but the distraction's half the fun - I stopped for twenty minutes today just to watch a starling nervously trying to sneak a bit of dinner on my lawn. ;D

I guess it must be very dependent on whether you read/write outside when you're a wee bairn or not. Some of my friends don't like studying outside, either.

Ah, I loved it! I actually gasped when I realized who it was. ^_^ First I had a glimpse into Millace's past, and now Schiri. Brandi is muchly happy ^_^

Very nice, m'dear!

Thankee, dear! Well, it's Schiri's -imaginary- past according to what Isaille thinks it should be, anyhoo. ;D I really don't think he'd agree with her on all counts. Then again, it's a pretty big improvement on his actual childhood!

*snickers* I got it from What a skinny child to look at! - ah, Schiri, I was much amused as it went on - especially the idea of him running around the river issuing orders, then having them turn on him. Poor Schizzers, but that's a familiar feeling ^_^

My only worry is the end... Umm... I wonder what the lynchmob would be like for that... *ponders*

Hee! I never even thought of that ... I guess Isaille just took the general theme of Schiri always ending up with mud on his face, and made it literal. XD

Um, yes, and maybe bringing Torus out isn't such a good idea *picks bits of Lythen off shirt* ... but he did come visit me today! Maybe someone is finally going to start talking loudly enough to shut Lorannon up ...

Really? I'd prefer to kill them ;)

*chuckles* Not the end of what you were on about (ie the Torus bit) but what Isaille was on about. It kind of implies Schiri is dead, or maybe I'm just morbid today ;) Though you'd be safe from Joelle in that mob, others might protest. Oh the joys of being at the mercy of your readers... Run! Run!

^_^ i loved it, of course, and i took the "dead" and "cold" as being just normal ol schiri. *chuckles* poor Issaile.
i don't know if i would lynch you for killing schiri or not... he's one of those characters that i love, but whose ending, like any others, cannot be forced. i will be what it will be ^_~

It's so weird how some characters just -have- to end a certain way, isn't it?

I remember when I read the Dragonlance Chronicles however many aeons ago and got up to a part where my favourite character died (I won't say who, just for the unlikely event that you may not have read them!). I was completely devastated. Then I read a book where the authors pulled some sort of deus ex machina and had it so that the character never died ... at first I was happy, but almost immediately afterwards I actually felt disappointed. When the ending comes, the ending comes.

That said, I have finally succumbed to the lure of Millace since reading your latest background story (I can't believe it ... I was a Securen girl for so long!), and I'm very anxious as to whether you'll eventually kill him or not ...

(I guess all this is a bit of a blatant giveaway as to whether Schiri eventually dies or not ... but then I'm pretty sure most people already know or guess anyway. ;)

actually, it's not far fetched. i started the first one then got distracted and still haven't finished them. i am remarkably not well read in the fantasy genre.
*beams* ah, another to Milli's camp. i am leaning towards writing a window into Securen's past for Joelle too.
(who knows. it's probably guessable, but there are always twists ^_^)
