Summary: Orlando does what he loves and never really knew how much he loved her.

Tonight everything seemed to feel different then it always had. Usually when he came home from finishing up filming a movie, they went out to eat, rented a movie, and then spent as much time possible together as they could. Every moment that went by was another moment that was being spent before he would have to leave again. As an actor, he was doing the one thing he loved to do but he also was leaving behind the one person he loved. They had enough money so if she had wanted to quit her job and come with him to the sets they would be fine in financial standards but she loved teaching.
Maria was as 3rd grade teacher and teaching was to her as acting was to Orlando. It was their passions and he couldn’t take that away from her and vise versa. So they spent as much time as they could together when he wasn’t working and that worked. They were happy, they were in love, and that’s all that mattered.
But something was different… When he had come home from filming Pirates of the Caribbean two he felt different. He wasn’t as excited as he usually would’ve been. While he was filming, yes he was having fun and enjoying himself, but there was something missing… something he had never felt before. He would look over at Johnny and watch him have long conversations with Vanessa and Lily-Rose and some attempts with Jack (who couldn’t talk that well yet). As he was talking to them there was something in his voice, a hint of something he never used when he spoke his lines to the camera or to the crew or actors. Something different, something special, something reserved. It wasn’t until a week before Orlando was going to go home that he knew what it was. It was love.
Now you love many things in your life time but when you talk to your wife or children it is not the same. Your love for them hold something a lot stronger then what you had for a pet or your friends. They are yours and you are theirs. And that’s when he knew what was missing. Maria.

Maria… as he looked over at her sleeping soundlessly. He hated to be away from her for long periods of time as he usually was. He loved her with all of his heart but knowing he was so far away all of the time confused him about what their future could actually hold.

Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure
He wanted to be with her every minute of every day! But did she feel the same way? He only had 2 day’s before he would have to fly out to L.A. and for the first time Maria wasn’t going to be able to go with him. He closed his eyes and put his head back into the pillow. He loved her he knew that but how much did she love him? He opened one eye and looked over at her. Sleep was not going to come.

“I love you.” He whispered smiling at her and noticing how the corners of her lips moved up slightly.

“Love you too baby. Are you going to sleep?” She whispered moving her arm across his chest and hugging him tightly. Her head was placed upon his chest and he ran his fingers through her hair.
“I will in a second.” He whispered back, kissing her forehead softly. He heard her steady breathing get slower as she fell back asleep.

Then I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together
He didn’t want to leave without all of his questions being answered. And even if his questions weren’t answered, the assurance that they would be. Right now things were perfect. They had gone out to a small restaurant with Italian cuisine, then they had gone dancing which was something new.

When he was filming the movie, when ever he got back into his trailer he would immediately go check the voicemail on his phone to be able to hear her voice. He would’ve called her every night if he hadn’t gotten back late when he knew she was going to be sleeping. She did have to get up at six after all and when he was finished working it was the middle of the night where she was.
He closed his eyes again, praying that sleep would come and silence all of his thoughts but to no avail. He could feel the rise and fall of her chest on top of his. Her warm skin suddenly sent shivers up his arm. He wanted to be with her forever.

He couldn’t bear thinking that in a month or so he would be gone again for half a year filming something else and he would leave her here. What if she found someone new? If he didn’t confess his complete heart to her would she realize he wasn’t worth it? Would she go on to marry someone who could actually be there for her? He hated to think that the future could bring her having someone else’s children, living in someone else’s house, being with someone else.

He knew what he had to do. He was planning to talk to her earlier that night but the right moment hadn’t come up. As carefully as he could, he slid out of her grasp and crept over to the small pile of clothes he had been wearing that day. He looked back over at her.

“Maria.” He whispered waking her up.
“Hmm? Is something wrong?” She asked.
“No… nothing is wrong. I just.. Need to tell you something.” He replied pulling her to him.
