POTC - Representative of Freedom
On another POTC site, someone commented that the reason the J/E relationship appealed to them was because Jack represented freedom from the constraints of society for Elizabeth.
This comment led me to wonder why ONLY Jack represented freedom to Elizabeth? Why not Will? Why can't Will and Elizabeth represent freedom and a new way of life to each other, once they learn to grow and develop from what they have been taught most of their lives? Or why can't Jack represent freedom for both, serving as a catalyst for both characters to grow?
