(no subject)
Wow long time since I've updated. What am I doing you might ask? Well I am SO close to getting that job I wanted so badly at Stanford. Argh right now my cat is meowing at my door when I just let her in. Silly princess.. *pauses to obey*
Anyway I think I have something. Actually the lady said I was hired but then HR said I can't be hired until I fill out an application. What a mess!
Not much other news.. I went in for a fitting for my fools bodice today, eeeeee! It was fun.. and I think it's going to fit great.. Which will be wonderful, it's hard to properly fit stick girls like me.. I end up looking really shapeless and blocky.
I can't wait for my chiuahua puppy in September, hopefully I'll get to visit her this weekend. It's my consolation for not going to NY. Though if I get this job, I still might be able to go in May..

Oh well. I go out there to 'get in touch with vestiges of Irving' and since he's not quite going anywhere and neither is his house, I can take my merry time. All of my friends that lived near Tarrytown have moved so.. LOL drat!
Home life is nice, actually. My brother and sis in law moved in.. and I thought it would be very difficult, but it isn't. It adds a really youthful ambience to our home that was missing before. It's pretty fun..and I don't feel alone in my unemployment.
My brother wants to work anywhere in the US, I wonder where he's going to end up..heeh and if it will be anywhere near NY, I'm hoping it's this CT lead..(the state abbreviation.. I don't want to show you how bad my geographical spelling is this late at night) That state is SO pretty and almost by Tarrytown. Actually I think it's like an hour and a half away. But wherever he ends up, I hope he likes his job, that's the important thing. I know I'll end up there sooner or later.. And I'm not counting on using friends or family to get there, that just .. I dunno.. kinda takes away this whole struggle to be independent, you can't cut a butterfly's cocoon, because they need that struggle to have the wing strength to fly :-) Isn't that a nice illustration?
now for new things with my site..
My new 'story' table of contents page! Ya know how before when you went to 'writings' there would just be my big ol fair harlequin story, in like 9 parts.. then it had some buttons at the top for the other stories.. I decided to turn my story.html thing into a 'splash' page for it sorta, and also it's an intro to all of my online writings. It gives a brief (ok maybe not brief) summary of what the works are.. and theeeeeeen get a load of what I did to my Harlequin story! Nice huh? That Harley cartoon is just so cute.. I've always loved her and I couldn't see her and not think of Daphne with those light blue eyes and fair hair (well when Harley's cap is off, her hair is blond).. It's all on one page now too! I still need to add one more pic cuz I think Antonio a friend who drew me a Harley pic would be mad if I didn't put that up there...I think I took it down from the 'about me' page.. I can't remember..
Anyway it took me most of the night to fix up all of that :-P Yesterday..
