I used to be all excited because I was like, "yay! The toilet's for left-handed people!" And then I realized that, no, flushing the toilet with your left hand still goes with that old (and still prevalent in some places, like the Middle East) concept of the left hand being dirty, so dealing with shit and pee and wiping your ass should only be done with the left hand. This is a slightly disheartening epiphany.
